Little white worm ID if you can ?

It lives in my fuge connected to the chaeto. Its a about 1/4 inch long when retracted and up to 4 inches long when it stretches out. Its thick as kite string and as thin as thread when stretching. When stretched it looks like it has tiny hairs on the sides of it. No picture so this is one for Leslie, I hope.

I suspect it's something other than a worm, possibly either a digitate hydroid or the fishing appendages of a benthic ctenophore. Take a look at these at these earlier posts --

It looks like that cool video from Melev. If it retracts down to a smaller size and comes in white, then I believe that is it. By the way, what was it ? Is it harmless as well ? Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me.
