Live Food

I was going to go down to the beach and collect some live crabs for my peacock mantis shrimp. Is there anything I need to do to prepare the food so it is safe for him to eat? Thanks in advance.

People have dont it before but it depends on the beach you get them from...whats the water like around it? I wouldnt risk it pearsonally...

ive done it, but i would highly recommend quarantining the crabs for at least three weeks.

I live in Florida by the Gulf Coast, thanks for the input, I will quarantine him.
