Live rock and cipro

Hi,

Can some please tell me, if you can return the rock that my anemone is/has been on from my QT tank. I am on day 4 of treatment. Will continue for 6 more days. Already 1000% better:) I will leave the rock and the nem in the QT tank sans the cipro for 3 days. Does this sound OK?

Thanks

I returned a rather large rock my anemone was on from QT with Cipro back into my DT tank which is only 34 gals. I haven't seen any noticeable effects.

Edit: I had the anemone and rock in QT tank with Cipro for a couple days and then about a week in QT without the antibiotics and just water changes before going back into DT.

Maybe just keep it it regular water (not treated) for a week or so.
Either switch it to a new tank, or do a bunch of water changes until there is next to no meds in the tank.
If it were me, Id net it soak for a little in regular water just to be sure its all gone. Better safe than sorry.

Cipro get breakdown by light. With bright light in the tank, it will be gone in no time at all. When I put LR in my treatment tank, I just take it and put it back to DT without washing, soaking or anything else

is it possible to just treat the main diplay with cipro? has anyone tried this? is it harmful to the fish as well does it kill the rock?

i already know medication is taboo in the main display btw lol

It's probably not good for the bacteria within your tank. Also, it gets very cost prohibitive for a larger tank because you need to treat the water volume.
