Live Rock for new aquarium

Hi, I'm just starting a 20g setup that I want to basically fill with good quality live rock, and some miscellaneous small inverts. I picked up my first, and only, piece of LR from PetCo about 3 days ago. Subsequently, I read that PetCo is not the most environmentally friendly place. However, the rock looks really good and healthy, and it did not cause ANY ammonia or nitrate spike. So now I want more LR, my question is this: Since I live in Colorado, is it doable to buy it online and have it shipped, overnight or next-day? Does anyone have recommendations on websites or suppliers? Or is it better to pay the higher price at the LFS for rock that won't have to travel so far? Does the Fiji, or Florida cultured have more possibility for cool things(sponges, feather dusters, etc) to show up on it?How can I be as sure as possible that the rock I'm getting was collected in a sustainable way? Maybe I'm thinking too much into this...I appreciate any thoughts or feedback!!:hmm5:

since you have such a small tank I would go with florida rock. It is much heavier therefor it costs more, but since you won't need a lot it will be good for you. Any other rock will have a very hard time even coming close to the amount of life you will fine on it. But beware, make sure you get florida rock, not caribbean rock.

The stuff at petco is ugly in my opinion. If it is like the rock here at our petco stores it looks like molded concrete. You want your live rock to be VERY porous, the more holes the better!

Check out marcorocks.com I've heard great things from people on this website. Here you will get REAL quality live rock.

Check out craigslist, I bought 20 lbs of cured live rock from a established tank for $2/lb.

looks like at marcorocks.com you can get 20lbs cured for $55 plus shipping (I did a general zip code of colorado - 80550 and shipping was only $14.07 total).

This would put you at $3.50/lb total and that is for quality real oceanic cured live rock.
