Live sand

I'm going to be possibly looking for live sand to set up new system and refug. IF ANYONE HAS ANY LET ME KNOW. THX

Are we talking live sand from an established tank to seed everything or the bagged "live" sand? IMO the bagged stuff is a waste of money. I could provide you with a few cups of live sand. I have regular dry sand also. I'd say ~35 lbs left over. It's medium sized(1-2mm) aragonite.

Which ever way im able to add it to tank and not worry about a cycle. I have a 75 im setting up and want to transfer my 55 over to it, but i have crushed coral in the 55 on the bottom, but i want to go with a little bit finer stuff in this setup. (i bought the 55 as a set and that is what the guy had in it)

I'd be more concerned with a possible cycle from the bagged live sand. While some of the bacteria in the bag may be alive it will also be accompanied by lots of organic waste. IMO you would be better served using dry aragonite sand. Then add a few cups of sand from some established tanks. You should expect to see a diatom bloom with the new sandbed. It generally passes in a few weeks.

No. I used dry sand when I moved the original tank I bought and again when I upgraded. Both times I saw no cycle. I added a few cups of live sand to seed it. Make sure you rinse the dry sand well. It can be pretty dusty.
