live sand?

Nice, I should be getting my tank this week. How much sand should i order. The tank is (17x16x17) with a built in overflow, the actual display portion is only 17x13x17. Would you recommend a dsb for this size tank, I was planning to put a few pounds in the hidden overflow sections. Also how much live rock? I wanna build a vertical column in the middle (9"x9"x14"). Which is better the marshall or the kaleni?
Thanks for the help!

Hi,

For the livesand I would recommend no more than 5lbs or so. That would be plenty to get your dry sand seeded, along with the liverock. I would also recommend to try and get a cup or so of livesand from any source you have available. This will allow for as much diversity as possible into your bed. Another great item to seed with is our rock bottom crude we sell http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merc...A&Product_Code=L-CRUDE&Category_Code=Livesand That is absolutely loaded with life.

For your rock I would recommend the Marshall for the nicest looking and easiest to stack. It's going to be hard to judge on the lbs per gal, but I would say right at about 1lb/gal.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Jeremy
