Picked some up today at https://www.frontierlighting.com/ in Clearwater. Frag rack in the works.

Just thought I would share. I'm trying to share as many things I find in this hobby because maybe I can save someone the enormous amount of time I've spent looking for answers or stuff.

Indeed they do. Personally for a small frag rack in the back corner of my display I didn't want the bright white. And I noticed some Reef Supply company's charge double for a half panel of black.

I called them up a year ago and they quoted me $13 plus shipping and ended up being $25 a sheet, I just purchase from coral corral and elite aquaculture for $20 a rack plus tax

I picked it up at the Clearwater location. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they selling half panels for $20? Maybe it was BRS. I don't remember.

I got an awesome clear acrylic frag with magnets on eBay for $20 shipped, plus he is only located in dunellon so shipping is like 1 day. These things are $40 in any lfs.

i've heard the white egg crate could leak out PO4? anyone else hear this?

I would imagine chemically they are the same just different color plastic in the molds. Perhaps algae is just more noticeable on white than black and a myth was born. There's no doubt in my opinion, for aesthetics, black looks better.

I just called them looking for 3/8" thick and the guy said he never heard of it but was going to check the warehouse..?

The Clearwater store had 2 panels and I bought 1. I wouldn't get too technical with them. They're light diffusers not a reefers product specifically. Just tell them you want the black egg crate light diffuser for 4 foot by 2 foot fluorescent ceiling lights. When I originally called they had to transfer them from the Bradenton store, which took a couple days.

It's the exact same thing they sell at Home Depot, but in white. Actually the "panels" are bigger, so you'll get more than you would at HD.
