Local collection trip

Hey guys,

Summer's almost over and that mean's I'll be back at meetings, participating more, etc. It's hard to keep me off the water in the summer.

Just wanted to see if anyone would have any interest in a local collection trip. Through fishing, I've been getting some real nice tank specimens in the cast net and on the line. Not sure how long they will survive but if you'd be willing to start a local species tank, with a lower temp I can get you a ton of cool looking fish. I've been getting small weakfish, porgies or (scup)-they are real pretty fish. Bergalls(sp)
as well as spearing, peanut bunker and so on. This will only last for the rest of the month and it's harder to get the small fish as the weather chills the shallows quick.

Keep me posted, I'll be checking in a bit more.

It funny you posted, I was just thinking of a collecting trip like you mentioned a ways back at one of the first meetings. I think that is a great idea.

Keep me posted with the groups thoughts.
We maybe have 2 weeks---at most.

I have no way to keep the fish alive other than my live well on the boat, which would only hold them for the trip. but a bucket with a battery operated air stone will do fine to transport.
