Local HOT PINK YUMAS

LionFan, I hope you're going to be able to sell this coral for $325. That would be great for you. It's true that some of the more rare and beautiful corals can command quite a hefty price (like PPE's for example). And based on the law of supply and demand, if the supply is low and demand high, then you can set any price you want.

Just think, $325 would buy you a whole roll of raffle tickets at the next club meeting!
 
Guys, I love what you do with swapping frags, I read every thread as if I live through you guys. I can never make meetings. The next one at BOB's exotic I have to shoot a wedding, by the way I will see bob today to drop off a bucket full of Chaeto, see I'm not a bad guy. Like I said all I wanted to do is ask you guys first before I put them on ebay, I'm not saying this is a great deal, but the market is hot for these rics right now. I didn't mean to insult the group!!!
 
Lionfan you don't need to apologize for anything. You can sell whatever you want for whatever you like. I notice some people on this forum like to interject with their own little comments and undercut others....like with xenia.... but don't much like it when done to them

If someone is willing to pay you that much for your polyps, good for you. It sure as hell won't be me, but who am I to tell you what you can or can't do.

I am dropping this thread, If someone wants one fine but I think all opinions have been made. JPG, by the way I have propped this coral and continue to do so.
 
Lionfan. Please don't be discouraged enough to stop letting us know what you've got for sale. While this coral may be out of the price range of most of our members, the others that you have recently listed for sale are not. I'd hate to see our members lose out on deals just because of a few nay-sayers. Thanks!
 
feesh no one here is telling him what to do just that it seems alittle pricey. i wouldn't want to see any one get stiffed or know they got beat you of all people should understand that. this is not the selling forum on rc so opinions and comments are acceptable here in the ctars section. he can post whatever he wants and for how much he wants its his business i could care less if it was 1 million dollars but to say we can't give our opinions.................
 
Paul, mayb you should go back and re-read some of the posts. Obviously you missed something.

Everyone is certainly allowed to share their opinions no one ever said you couldn't. However just like Jay posted they usually start or mention somewhere....in my opinion.

Are the basic laws of supply, demand, and what the market will bear lost on some of you? This isn't China. It's not Cuba He can ask whatever he wants for it and if someone is willing to pay it how are they getting stiffed or beat? He doesn't HAVE to do anything with it. He can take it and tie it to a rocket and launch up on the fourth for all he/she cares.

Know that saying if you don't have something nice to say blah blah blah? It would go great in this thread. The man/woman wanted to sell something and doesn't need any grief from anyone who has no intention of buying it. The house around the corner from me is asking for a price I think is too high. Why don't you guys go call up the listing company and heckle them. I wonder how seriously they would take your call after you tell them you weren't even considering buying.
 
And a side note. I have seen ONE of these in the past at a wholesaler. It was about as big as a fifty cent piece and the wholesale price was MUCH higher than what this person asked.
 
FEEESH, thank you for that, the funny thing is how was someone going to get stiffed when I was going to let them come to my home and pic which one they wanted. I am as honest as they come. Just wanted you guys the chance to buy before EBAy, Oh well live and learn!!
 
who the hell cares about china bla bla bla if people want to comment on how ridicilious the price is they may a house has nothing to do with this coral but when the coral is being sold at half my morgage i would start to question it or wonder. i too have seen one like that for much less.and if the house around your corner was posted here on rc in the ctars section and it was high i would question it why not. we are not in another country where you have no rights to give an opinion. we are in america. i'm not gonna sit here and waste my time arguing with you its a waste of time when everything you write here on rc is nothing useful but to try to start an arguement with people

ROFL, seriously Paul you're missing something. I already said everyone can share their opinion, my beef is with people telling him what to do and the few who take it upon themselves to comment on the prices others are asking but then feel free to ask whatever price they want on their equipment.

I also thought you might understand about China and Cuba, but I guess not. This isn't a communist country. This person can ask whatever price he wants for his/her goods. Just because they have and others have not doesn't mean it's their responsibility to share the wealth with the others.

And finally, you're right about everything I write on here. Let me please take this opportunity to apologize to wetone publically. Dude I am SO sorry. My reply to your post was very inflammatory. Can you believe my nerve?! I should be ahsamed. :rolleyes:
 
All I know is that if someone was selling something and fairly rare at that I would mind my own business and not bash the price, And if I wanted something sweet, money is never an object. Just because you would never pay that much you don't have to spoil my sale if someone where interested. But hey everyone is different and that's the american way. Now boys let's stop talking about it and who want's to buy it!!!!! Just Kidding I will sell them no problem!

Feeesh, I agree with you. Buy it or don't write about it. Unless you have something good to say. I read this thread yesterday and passed it. Today I see arguing over who's right and who's wrong. Geez, gotta love the club, huh.

Lionfan, nice pic.:D Keep coming back with corals to sell if you'd like. If you don't like the harrassment, sell them in the corals for sale forum and just state "PU only". Someone in the tri-state area will pick them up.

I don't think you will find that my friend, most of these are sold individually. Most people can't even find one of this color. Of all the people that have commented does anyone actually own a pink rico?
 
LionFan, I do hope you're not upset about the comments on this thread. I don't think anyone (ok, most people :) ) has been trying to belittle you in any way. In fact, I think you SHOULD sell these yumas for $325. They're a hot item right now, and you should get as much for them as you can.

Corals are like diamonds and Princess Diana Beanie Babies. You can't eat them, clothe yourself with them, or anything else. Their only value is what people are willing to pay for them. Although some are not willing, others might be. That's why some people were able to sell PD beanies for several thousand dollars a piece.

I would agree with D. Burr. If people want to buy something, that's great. If not, that's fine too. No one is making anybody do anything they don't want to. If you get what you want and are happy, no matter what the price is, then you've done good.

So keep growing the pink yumas LionFan. Maybe we'll see one in a club auction one day.
