Local Tank Builder?? Help Please

Hi, I'm back to the hobby after a ten year hiatus.

I have been reading and researching for 6 months.

I need help sourcing a custom tank. I considered the Deep Blue 48x24x18 but it is tempered and cannot be drilled for a Bean Animal Overflow. I want a high flow rate and low noise. I had a durso standpipe on my previous tank, and it was a noisy nightmare.

After doing a lot of research, I was surprised to learn that it's hard to find a commercially available shallow tank that is non-tempered. As a result, I have to get a custom made tank.

Who is the best South Florida manufacture of custom tanks?

I'm looking for a 48x24x20 Tank
3 Hole Bean Animal Overflow Drilled Back Panel
1 Drilled Return on Back Panel
Braced to support canopy / hood

It would also be nice to get the stand and canopy built at the same time, but it must blend with my wife's classic renaissance decor.

Any suggestions?

+1 Reef Savvy. He does any kind of overflow, internal, external, and his new Ghost Overflow is kind of a hybrid design. Be prepared to wait and pay out the wazoo, but the quality is amazing. I'm happy I paid the little extra for my tank. Mine is 52 x 26 x 19. I think Kevin (treetopflyn) here has a reef savvy with the dimensions you want, but its not an external. Mine is an internal hybrid, drilled for herbie. Its silent.

Thank you all for the great recommendations. I will look into both reefsavvy & exoticaquariums.

Does reefsavvy have a showroom?

Any recommendation on a custom stand builder?

Felix can offer you a stand that is just as beautiful as his tanks. Not sure if exotic builds or sells stands as well.

I got quoted by reefsavvy and eventho they are the Benz of custom tanks, the wait time and cost was significant compared to Karen and Bob at Exotic (which imo are the BMW's of custom tanks).

They built my tank for a fraction of the cost + wait time. I am very happy with it and they were very helpful.

So either way you're buying Luxury with both. Just depends on what you like. If you have the cash + don't mind waiting I would go with ReefSavvy. If your on a budget or don't wanna wait 6-9 months but want comparable quality.. Go with Exotic.

Dammmm, Felix is backed up! I waited 4 months for mine, lol. Took 2 years to get water in it so you can say I'm patient!

I visited exotic aquarium today and they let me check out the warehouse where they build the tanks.

Very nice setup. They can build anything... I was impressed.

I'm going to order my tank from them in the next few weeks. I'll keep you posted on a build thread.
