Picked up this monster colony this week from Reef Science. Photo is vendor's photo. Delivery tomorrow; hope I can get it to fit

These guys always color up nicely IME, and I'm confident this one will be no exception. Will post again after it "settles in".

That is a monster... Most of the colonies I see through vendors are maybe 1/3 that size... You can see an Acro Crab there in the middle...

Be careful though... A couple of the Acros I got in from Chad had those Blue Eyed acro eating crabs on it as well as the benificial ones... Just an FYI more than anything else...

There are actually 2 crabs. One of the good white ones, and another red-clawed one I've not seen before. They'll come out before Interceptor treatement, though, so I can inspect them and decide whether they stay or go.

Didn't see the second one at first glance... I forgot that your use Interceptor on all your additions...

So when you only treat one coral, do you leave it in for the full 6 hours, or how does that work??? Won't you kill all the crabs???

I knocked mine off into a pyrex with some tweezers and then dipped them in TMPCC... Put the beneficial ones back on... And Ashley made me throw the others in one of my sumps...

I remove the crabs and treat for 4-6 hours w/ Interceptor followed by Lugols or TMPCC. Then reintroduce the crabs if I haven't already added them to the tank. I think, from the pics, that they are both good because they are smooth, have black eyes, and are not hairy.

It came and broke up a bit, but there are 2 good crabs and a weird small bright green acro shrimp (?). It is big!

I've got several frags available, not by choice, but due to shipping breakup. If you want one, give me a call. I'd like to recover some of my $200 cost, so $20 a frag is what I'll charge. I've got 2 for sure and maybe more. Just holler at me.

Little pistol shrimp. Zipped into the rockwork somewhere. May become wrasse food...

I had one in there the entire time but I never saw him...just heard him.

My two or three acro crabs were the giant reddish pink ones. They were great!

How do you remove your crabs before the Interceptor? I have been able to catch them jumping ship in the first portion of the treatment and pull them, but too far in and they don't make it.
