Longhorn Cowfish at TFO in Elmira

I went to Tropical Fish Outlet today in Elmira. Gotta say, place is pretty decent for a shop in the middle of nowhere, or course I was a little biased after seeing City Zoo:hmm5:.

Anyhow, i spotted a Longhorn Cowfish of about 4" length there. He was adorable! I actually ordered one of these from LA not long ago and they sent me the wrong fish, though I'm very happy with it (a Yellow Cubicus Boxfish).

So, if you have the space (grow very large) and gumption (potential toxins, read up first) here you have it, an apparently healthy cowfish at your local store. And, if not, then you might stop by anyhow, all of the fish I saw seemed in good health and they had a nice selection.

Yeah this place is by far the best around. The service is excellent! They are very knowlegeable and look out for you the customer other than trying to fill the cash register. Very good place if you are ever in the area!

Agreed. TFO is an awsome place. bigger from the inside. a little TLC wouldnt hurt the tanks. But other then that they look out for you and are really knowledgable. I went to get my first salt fish there picked out what i liked and they wouldnt sell to me since it was recently recoving from some ick. Honesty goes a long way with me. I try to shop local when i can so i would recomend TFO.

Yeah they could have sold me tons of fish / inverts/ corals but they let me know which is best for my tank rather than just make a sale. I have boughten things there even tho I knew it was more expensive than online or pectoral or something mostly because the service is so good And I would rather put money into TFO than someone else
