longnose butterfly help

ill wait a day then throw him in my QT, he's a really healthy specimen, hopefully he will be able to pull through. in a QT should i just feed it everything i got and see what he eats?

Out of curiosity, why did it not start out in QT?

idk man, ich is in my system already... not worth treating all the fish if im gonna upgrade to a 300. When i upgrade all my fish are gonna go through ich treatment.

good news/bad news. Bad news: couldnt catch him, but the good news is he's eating cyclop eeze, rods food and brine like a mad man. Will try some new things tomorrow, nls pellets maybe a live clam. I guess it just took some time to get his appetite on, thanks guys. pictures coming soon.

IMO & IME, when a fish is ready to eat, it will eat most of the foods that you would normally feed. If it isn't eating, finding out why becomes more & more important. seldom does a fish discover a '"magic food' and that starts him eating. An assortment of meaty, frozen foods should get any LYN eating. Like i said above, it can take time for new fish to eat.

I would agree with this for most fish, but certain fish I've had in the past would only accept certain foods. Only after they are established and comfortable did they start to eat a variety of different foods.

so i fed him again, he loves brine shrimp but i know brine shrimp has little nutritional value so tomorrow i plan on soaking it in some garlic with rods food. Hopefully i can get him to eat some other foods.
