Longnose Hawkfish

I am looking at getting a Longnose Hawkfish for my 90G Reef. My smallest fish is 2.5" Clown. Would he be at risk?

I think you should be fine. Do you have any shrimp ?

Ive heard they are bad with shrimp. Which is a shame, as I have heard they are great for getting rid of bristleworms.

These guys are fine with just about anything. The only thing to watch is that they jump; especially in the early morning for some reason. If you do to have a lid, don't buy until you do.

I have had my long nose hawk for about 2 years now and he is a model citizen. He doesn't bother anything in the tank including my cleaner shrimp. But they can definitely be skiddish so make sure you have a lid.

I have a pretty big pistol shrimp, that's it in way of shrimp. I would imagine the pistol could defend himself.

Longnose hawkfish have been known to eat ornamental shrimp. I expect your pistol shrimp wouldn't have a problem.
