Look What Reeflux Bulbs Have Done

Has anyone had any experience switching from the XM20k to the Reeflux 12k? I run the XM20k 400w on an M135 Pulse Start Ballast now with no actinic. I think the color and growth are good but you know how it is you always wonder if it could be better.

I have seen acro nuts current set up and it is by far the best lighting combo I have seen. The reeflux bulbs show off the best color when compared to other common MH setups. Ive seen lots of tanks w/ growth, but the color is what stands out. We've ran different bulb combos in the past, but the reeflux 10k and 12k mix looks the best IMO.

Very nice tnak Acopora nut
I have been using Reeflux bulbs for ayear now
I started of with the 10k and then switched to 12k ,I have never been happier with these bulbs .I knowlots of ppl knocked them down ,but i have no reason why ,I just tried the Iwasaki bulb 1755w (that what i have ) and way to brigh for me

Your tank look awesome ,I have that same color in my tank and love it .Funny most of the guys that i know come over and are impressed with teh light color ,then they ask what bulb im using >telling them reeflux they are shocked .lol

This is what David at Coralvue told me on PAR. I was asking about the 250w:

"The 12K lamps are not like others that are on the market where the blue color overdrives all the other colors in the aquarium. As for PAR they are about 18 to 21% less than the 10K RL. "

open up a photobucket.com account, it's free. You can download your pics there and just copy the IRL and post it here. Took me months to figure it out!
Once you get the pics up, you owe me. Since I'm in Chicago, I'll take a 15 minute tour of the 500 gallon tank!

thank you Newschool04 no problem on the tour but to bad u like the Cubs.HA HA HA just kidding.I am from the south side .pm me and we can hook up

Thanx Acopora nut , been waiting awhile for that post of yours with pict.'s. On my prop tank I have ran the 10k's on a IC electronic ballast for over 3 months and all I can say is what a difference in colors. My tank is almost done in the house, I just might go with that combo for lighting because the 10k's alone are kinda blahhh and need some kind of supplement.

Like I said in the origanal post mixing 10000 and 1200k is the best of bolth worlds. You get great growth and brilliant color with out running vho's or t5's.

Wow good to finally see a positive review of these bulbs. Are you using the 400w versions?

What are you talking about? These have been getting good reviews since they were released?

I love my reeflux bulbs

I love my reeflux bulbs

I have two reeflux 400w 12k. I like them a lot. It has just the right mix of white and blue. It comes out really crisp. I have a 110 gal and I run two 96w coralife power compact actinics as well. I've used a few different types of bulbs and I'll switch to another brand after these go. I just want to keep trying stuff. But everything is growing nicely.
