Look What Reeflux Bulbs Have Done

I just ordered a reeflux 150, 10k for my redseamax. I have this along with 2 18w pc's. I should have it on Friday so I am excited to see how it will look. I heard the reeflux naturally have more of a blueish tint then other MD bulbs.

I recently switched to 3 x 400 12 k reeflux on electronic coralvue and have to agree. Possibly the best combo ballast I've tried so far.

Always ran 20 k's but decided to swicth out of curiosity. I had to decrease my photoperiod in half...
many of my critters did not like the change at first but certainly seems to be the best of both worlds.

I just ordered 2 12k 250w SE. Should have them next week. I hope they look as good as most of the pictures I've seen!

Are the 250 watt SE's pretty good in growth? I'd like to cut out my VHO's to save some on the new tank I setup. But I really do enjoy the nice growth.

I had a quick question. I cannot view any of your pics by the way...

I have a 6' long tank, and use 250w DE with sunlight supplie's galaxy ballasts (electronic). I have 3 pendants. I am needing to upgrade bulbs soon and should I go with 3 reeflux 12k DE or 2 reeflux 12k DE (1 on each end) and a reeflux 10k DE in the middle?

I think the 2 12k and the 10k in the middle is a good choice. I run 3 12k 400's and 2 10k 400's on my personal tank and the growth and color was amazing until I...well I won't get into that.

Go with the 2 12k's and the 10k in the middle. Are you going to stagger your times? Daggum- I just looked at the date- I did bring this back from the dead!! LOL.
Bulfraw215- I'd love to have a peek at your electric bill!!

I'm running 3 400W 12K Reeflux's now on Coralvue E ballasts and I couldn't be happier. I used to run the 10K Reeflux and it was just too yellow for me. It's been a little over a week now and the bulbs should be burned in and I love the color!

I use the 150W Reeflux 12K and have been very happy with them as well. I think it's the perfect balance of white and blue with no **** yellow. Corals seem to like them, too.

are you using supplements? Can i see pics of your tank?I just got my Ushio 10k's & they are wayyyyyyyyyy to yellow.

Seems like most of the people raving about these run 400w? I wonder if these perform better because the 250 was really dim to me, though a nice color.

Yea I was considering the 250 watt ones but it appears the consensus is the 400 watt ones. I guess I'll be sticking with the XM's for awhile.

i have(4) 400 12k no actinic (2) w/ LA3 with pfo hqi &
(2) with cv & ice cap electronic ballasts with LB minis
and the electric w/ the minis are brighter & a touch bluer.
