hello all,

i'm from california and looking for marine plants native to carribean. particularly shaving brush, mermaids fan and any other cool marine plants. if anybody dives or collects this stuff, i'm willing to trade some nice coral, zooanthids, shrooms, etc for em. please pm me or email me at realcalicheese@hotmail.com.

Next time I'm down I'll pay a little more attention to something besides the fish going on the grill....We have some gorgeous reefs here, but they start about 10 miles offshore in about 60 feet minimum....that keeps the number of divers off our coast low compared to the rest of the state. There are lot's of 'divers' here in NE FL, but I really don't see many offshore here compared to other parts of the state. Our best diving starts around 90' and goes well into 150' plus range and is somewhat advanced due to currents and vis at times......

You probably have already, but post in some of the south florida forums too. Tampa has tons of divers I know, try them too....

I'm about to start bringing home local stuff for a local tank, so watch for posts on my " NE FL tank"......

hi sam,

my name is sam also :) i'm not familiar w/ the geographics of florida.
boy i wish i lived in florida. i'd spend allmy time in the ocean!

Here are some links to other Florida clubs that I would think have a lot of active divers. There are many more but here's a start, I'm sure you will find some people who are willing to do some trades.... I know I can always use some more zoos!!

You are right Florida is nice, and I will only move to the Caribbean or Central America from here.....sooner than later hopefully :) Good luck, and watch out for my NE FL reef tank coming in the future. Might actually do a nano w/ this one....
