Looking at developing iOS & Android app

Version 1.2 out..

  • Fixed various bugs
  • Read-only, Guest, Admin are able to retrieve ALL switch names, current etc
  • Fixed issues causing the application to crash on launch
  • Overall reliability
  • Cleaned up alot of functions and made more it use less resources

Please ensure your internet connection (Mobile internet or WiFi) is active before launching the app, As i haven't yet implemented checks to make sure its on etc.

Forgot to add ^

  • Added a crash reporter, When it crashes you will be given a prompt on which email account you want to send it with, Please send it :D
  • Any change in version will mean you have to input your GHL information again (when out of beta you wont have todo this every version)
  • Basic checks to ensure your network activity is on (was causing black screens for some)
 
Nice to see you on RC too! It must be a lot of work to keep up the threads in GHL's forums and on here.
I know that right now your main focus is getting the application to work with the Profilux 3 but i was wondering if, in the future, the application will work with Profilux 2? Thank you for all your work!

Depending how i go and how popular this app gets and the demand for a profilux v2.

I mainly don't have access to a Profilux 2 and nor do i know anyone with a Profilux locally here :( But i'll see how it goes
 
I just ordered my P3 upgrade for the iOS app which was discontinued (I know, I should've read into it more)....

nzsilentone you might have just saved my sanity with your app.... I'm also in the iOS camp (iPad2 and 4S) and will be waiting patiently for the iOS app to come out....

I'm guessing I speak for a few of us as well that will gladly pay for the app or donate some funds to the process if needed.....

I couldnt agree more. Cant wait for a BETTER alternative to the "OTHER" app.....
 
I'm purchasing a profilux for my new tank and wondering what the current state of mobile apps to control the profilux is. I'm a Senior Software Engineer specializing in mobile and could put together an iOS app if none has been created. Does anyone have documentation for the profilux API?

Of course its always great to have other applications also, if you go to www.aquariumcomputer.com and then onto the forum and scroll down to the English section you will see the developers section for this topic.
 
I've tried the other app and I couldn't get it set up correctly. I couldn't find and good directions for setting it up. Hopefully the new app will be very user friendly :)

I couldn't agree more Ed. Hopefully something SOON will fill the HUGE gap here!!

i went there but does not see the developer section , but instead there is third party Software and tools and do not see the announcement

The "Developers Section" isn't available to the general public. You have to be granted permission as a developer to get in there. You have to request the permission and show you need that access.
