So my new kitty knocked over my lamp which knock over my light fixture when then fell onto my skimmer. My skimmer is cracked and was wondering if I could just put some silicon on top of it or would it mal function? But in the mean time I'm looking for a 48 light strip 2x65 or 4x65 and a skimmer that someone is willing to sell.

What cracked on the skimmer? You can use weld-on in most cases and it will seal cracks in acrylic.

Thanks for the kitty! I meant to send you a pm, but I've ben so busy. Didn't get to meet you, but your tanks looks great. It crack where the light fixture fell like the main frame, don't really know the techinical terms, but its a crack on the larger bottom cylinder thing. =D Thats the best I can describe it.

Are you saying the crack is in the skimmer body? Can you post a picture? I have a skimmer that I cracked the body of and my friend fixed it with some weld-on. Weld-on is a type of acrylic glue. I'm not sure who would carry it locally though. Maybe someone on here local to you has some and will step in to help you out.
