Looking for a large acclimation box

Looked everywhere on the net and have come up empty handed. I'm looking for a 24 or 36"x10x10 or larger acclimation box. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance

I at one time was looking for something like this as well, I had to make one out of arcylic. its cheap because it doesnt have to really hold water as long as you never fill it outside the tank. lol

Whats it for? Thats really big I think it would be nice to have one thats long and tall but why so wide?

For something that big, why not divide/'section off' part of the main tank with eggcrate...

My new tank is 7ftx6ftx2ft so I wanted something that's more like a small tank instead of a little holding box. Also if I have some larger fish they won't be just sitting idle because the box is so small

I DiY'd mine because commercially available units were too small. Was easy - some acrylic, eggcrate and thickened cement. Doesn't have to be water tight .... or even look that good (mine doesn't).

I've seen larger ones in peoples tanks that were clearly not DIY is why I was asking. Ted has a larger than normal one and I have contacted Elite but haven't heard back. I can get acrylic but cutting the flow throughs are the issue or maybe not, haven't done it before. What is used to bond the pieces together, you mentioned thickened cement?

well with it the size you want you can just saw slots through it. Or even just use a drill bit to dill a bunch of holes all over it.

Looks like I'm making this one myself. Anyone know where I can get some heavy duty magnets that are aquarium safe? Also what is used to secure the acrylic to itself?

Thanks for the reply. Anyone have suggestions on the magnets?

I ended up making a hanger out of acrylic for mine (as you can see in the photo). If that doesn't work for you, I do know a couple of folks who have successfully used the epoxy/plastic sealed magnets sold by K&J Magnetics (just google them and the website pops up).

Thanks Simon. The hanger thing won't work for me since if you look at the picture of the 625g the top braces are wide, much wider than can accommodate a hanger.

Understood! Those magnets ought to work just fine. Not sure how you plan to do your light hood, but just make sure the width of whatever box you make can be fitted between the top tank trim and the bottom edge of the light hood. I failed to note this and ended up having to raise my hood a chain-link :(

They have plastic coated ones they recommend inside the tank and rubber ones for the outside. Thanks again Simon you have been most helpful!
