what would be a good fish for me to add to my tank?

no lid or cover so prefer not to have a jumper

I would think a Firefish would be too much of a jumper.

I know we have offered the following fish to people before, but it is such a good specimen. He does not jump, gets along with everyone...

You should consider one of the ultra rare, reef safe Fade Fish.

little to creepy for my needs, wouldn't feel right leaving the kids home alone with the tank!!

I would not do a dottyback in a tank that size.
 
tailspot blenny, bimaculatus (2-spot) blenny...both are very cool and don't get all that big.
 
or a red sand hopper

or flasher wrasse

or another clown.

or firefish (mine never jumped)
