Looking for a Tank

I'm in search of a 72x36x24 glass tank doesn't have to be exact specs but close was going to have it built by DSA but they closed up shop before I could order it. Was referred to glasscages has anyone done business with them?

A search of the vendor feedback forum, or just a search on RC for Glass Cages will reveal there are those who rave about them, but also some who complain about quality (silicone bubbles, etc).

I have no personal experience with them, but when I was considering a new build, they seemed to have a reputation for inconsistencies in quality.

That's what I've been hearing a couple guys I talked to love the tanks they got from them and another couple said they would never get a tank from them again. It's so hard to find a quality glass builder that doesn't charge astronomical prices.

I've seen some nice tanks from CAD Lights. Not sure on their prices. I sent a message just this morning to get some pricing from CAD Lights. Haven't heard back from them yet.

I bought a 48"x48"x10" tank from them several years back. It was functional and attractive, but not flawless. Sloppy silicon, some misalignment on the edges, etc. It was beautiful as a shallow reef setup, but if you got close you could see the flaws. I sold it to someone locally a few years ago, maybe he'll chime in and tell you if it's held up.

Anthony, My last two tanks have been from Eddie at Cad Lights. Both were custom with my most recent tank at 60"x36"22. Very close to the dimensions you are looking for. They have improved their workmanship from my first tank to the 2nd. I challenged them with a custom overflow and they delivered quite nicely. At some point you will make it over to see the tank for yourself. In summary, I would order from them a 3rd time, not to mention his prices were cheaper than DSA and Glass Cages.

I got my custom made from Oceans by Design in washington. Shipping wasn't too bad either. Have them quote you -- their facebook is a good place to check them out.

Glass-cages are cheap garbage with poor customer service.

Yea I was planning to go to Brads tomorrow if I can get all my Christmas stuff wrapped up. I've requested a ton of quotes fingers crossed I don't get killed.
