I had posted this over in the peroxide thread and was referred to post here with a possible ID of it being Rhodophyta.

Please assist with more info.
Have you brushed it with your hand? Is it calcareous and rigid? Is it like snoot? Is it firm but slippery?

I did another water change this afternoon. While my water level was low enough I dripped/laid a couple mls of peroxide directly on some of this algae that I have growing on one of my returns.....nothing....bubbled a bit but nothing else. No color change, no recession,...

If it is rhodophyta, they have a 4-6 day delay before effect that could be at play...if the bottle was new.

You might consider doing an external rock test we talked about in the recent pages which determines kill times etc based on an ideal dose. My prediction is that an initial treatment will zap it, possibly after the usual delay times depending on what group this is

Very interesting invader keep us on follow up

Interesting, so it gets bubbles on it, that's usually blue green algae or the other red cyano bacteria that gets oxygen bubbles develop and be noticeable.
With a macro pic, if you lift a piece of rock out of the water, it can be named much easier.
It does look as if something is grazing on it due to it mainly being in depressions or its happier there due to low slow in those spots or that's where the phos is leaching from.

No bubbles on/in it. Bubbles I referred are from peroxide. I will try get a rock out or next time I do w/c ill pic my return.
