Hi i have a 65 gallon reef ready. Currently have 2 allardi clowns, royal gramm, mystery wrass. Here is the question should i get a pair of bartlett anthias, i heard they are schooling fish so i think 4 is too much plus read they dont get along with basslets. Ok thought about a goby shrimp pair, but down the line would like a mandarin can these two get along? Also saltwaterfish dot com says minimum tank for a blue hippo is 40 gallons???? Typo or what. Also what other suggestion would you give me ps would like a clam so think dwarf angelfish are out????

Blue hippo tang in a 40 gallon tank...Its a typo...they require a 8' minimum and grow 12" inches long.

Also saltwaterfish dot com says minimum tank for a blue hippo is 40 gallons????

They are selling fish; but perhaps they just left off the leading "2"? Do want a fish that is one foot long in your tank? Draw your own conclusion. Also be aware they are the king of ich magnets.

I would say 65 gallon is way too small to house a blue hippo long term. I honestly don't understand why people buy fish knowing they will outgrow their tank. I personally like the bangaii cardinals. Not sure how mystery wrasses react to other wrasses or I would suggest a melanurus fairy wrasse. Read lined wrasses should not be housed with other lined wrasses. A blenny like a lawn mower may be a good option. Just a few suggestions.

this person has allready been baned and does not understand that you cant set up a tank and dump 20 fish in it 2 weeks later.he almost killed his clowns by putting them in while the tank was still really high in nitrites and ammonia and as soon as thoes 2 droped he added 2 more fish so that is 4 fish in the first month.man its your money do with it what you will but if you keep ignoring what people on here are trying to tell you your fish will likely all die from to much polution in your tank.guess your wrass eats pods your tank does not have enuf in it to keep it happy so look forward to posibly looseing that fish.
