Looking for good and fresh live sand

Does anyone know of a LFS that is regularly receiving live sand fresh from the divers?

I want to give my sand a "tune-up" and freshen it with some diversity.

I'm looking for fresh stuff right now rather than from other tanks.

Thanks,
Paul

From a reliable eBay'er that might be a good option.

I want to avoid getting used kitty litter (just kidding :) ) or someone elses aquarium pests.

Do you know a trustworthy source?

That sand Doug use to get from Keys was great live sand, it was
gone as fast as he got it in the store.....George used to have
some good live sand also...Might check with him..

Thanks!

I've used some of the stuff Doug used to get from some diver and that's what I'd like to find.

I'll check around.

SITC usually has live sand don't they?

I was there earlier this week and should have checked. I know that they don't have the same tubs of it that Doug used to have with sand and rocks.

When I hear live sand I almost want to run and hide. Not for the fact that live and is bad, but for the fact live sand has way to loose a name. You can autoclave sand and place it in a tank seconds later it could be called live sand.
I think live sand in a tank is a major benefit. As long as it is true live sand. I would have to say the sand that Doug use to get was sweet. And since Macye took over I would like to ask if she could do a talk for ORCA about sand. Showing the true difference with a scope.

Hey Russell,

Long time no see. We need to find a way for our paths to cross sometime soon.

That's exactly why I'm looking for the "real thing." I haven't seen any around for a long time.

At this point it appears that no one else has either.
