Looking for new phosphate test kit.

Like the title said. I'm almost out of Hagen PO4 test kit. Don't really like it.
I dose VSV. So I need something that reads low.Thanks.

It ain't cheap, but it's reliable, really, honestly reliable. That's something you just won't get from a titration test kit. I have one myself, and have never looked back.

But right now don't have the money yet.

The Hannah one is pretty much the same, but goes for a few bucks more. I understand your reluctance to spend that kind of scratch on a "test kit", it took me a while thinking about it before I bit the bullet. What I can tell you is that my test kits were giving me readings of about .1
When I tested the first time with the colorimiter, my P04 was at 1.54 mg/l.
It's worth the money, if you can swing it. Another option is to approach some of your club members and go in on one together. Once I got my reading down to acceptable level (below .1), I only test once or twice a month. I don't need that expensive piece of equipment around all the time.

I believe that has been mentioned before, and I truly hope that the new board decides to buy either a Hanna photometer or the Milwaukee one you recommended. That would be a good piece of equipment for the club to have for the members.

Larry is right. It wold be worth the money to have it espically if your vodka dosing. I wouldnt waste my money on a kit.

Online check in / check out system. Last one out is recorded and if they don't return it, either banned from the club or we work out a deposit system. The Par Meter (which I still have, and need to get back to Rhett) is an expensive item too - which was not found without causing something of a stir. Not Rhett's fault though -he worked hard to find it and obtained it. I hope that all club members are honest folk - they seem to be - this hobby is expensive enough, and membership dues should go for the benefit of the club. I have found the par meter to be beneficial and I hope others do as well. Same with a Phosphate meter.
