I don't like it set up this way (with the aqualifter). You would think it would be easy to get a consistant drip rate with it being somewhat pressurized but it isn't.
I think I know why. The aqualifter is a diaphragm pump so the pressure changes ever so slightly with each pump. When you are looking at about a drop per second, this shows.
It was better feeding the reactor with just a siphon alone (valve before the reactor).
I think I'm changing it back tomorrow. I can still use the little filter cup and have filtered water enter the reactor using just the siphon.
Or maybe I'll try the other little mini pump I just bought first. That might work better than the aqualifter.
Yes, I read it but ReefWreak used it an loved it as well.
If I don't find another use for it - I'll sell it.
I like the idea of the other pump over the aqualifter as well because it's a submersible. There will be two less connections that could have caused a flood if something were to come loose. I've had my share of floods already.
