I don't know if you are dedicated to a program already...but have you tried google sketch up?

Huge amout of info out there. Plus there is a ton of 'models' including reef tank builds that you can download and 'explode' and use the pieces as you see fit.

Fairly easy to use...I'm still in the early stages, but it isn't too bad.
