Looking into upgrading skimmer

I had someone SPAM me on Skype, so I started talking to them. And then I turned them in to the FBI. It ****ed them off. I told them they needed to be nicer and work on their skills if they were going to actually scam anyone. It was hilarious! And I really did turn them in to the FBI. They have an internet crimes website.

Its horrible, but it was fun. They kept getting ****ed off and then would still try to tell me that "my relative that had died in Iraq really wanted to give me this money..." etc, etc. I think I have the dialogue somewhere... heh.

Man now I am going to be ancy all weekend awaiting my new goodies!! the powerheads should be here Saturday, and the skimmer Monday. And no Brandon, I cannot take the day off on Monday. I ahve meetings for work that I have to attend, so Im bummed until Monday evening to set up the skimmer into a bucket of vinegar water to get it ready for my tank.

Sure thing!!! If they do come in Saturday I will let you know. I think Fedex home delivers Saturdays.

BAH. Fedex updated the delivery now that it is in transit to Tuesday. Ahh well. Skimmer on Monday, Vortechs on Tuesday. Your still welcome to come up if ya want

I just got confirmation my skimmer was delivered to the house. I am going nuts trying to get out of my afternoon meetings to get home and set it up LOL.

LOL..too funny!!

Well, I finally got home, put the skimmer together, hooked the pump up, and last..went to attach the PVC for the air and....HALT!!! They cut it an inch too short to reach the pump air inlet from the adjuster tube!!! ARGH!


Damm good thing I had a few feet of the right size lying around :-D

Skimmer is now running in a tub with water and a little vinegar to wash away any oils. I will stick it ion the sump later tonight.

What are your first Impressions? How Is the build quality and overall how's It look?
