TONIGHT I CAME HOME TO MY FEMALE WAS BARLEY HOLDING ON TOO LIFE. SO I TOOK HER OUT AND PUT HER IN MY SUMP. AN HOUR HAD PAST AND SHE WAS IN BAD SHAPE SO I HAD TO KILL HER. I WAS WONDERING IF THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ANY ONE WITH A MAITING PIAR???? THEY ARE SADDLE BACK CLOWN FISH... PLEASE

I would say he didn't kill her. As powdertang states it is usually the other way around. How long have you had them? Has she been acting funny, looking odd the last few days? I would say she dies from some other reason not the male killing her.

maybe it was my male who died. The bullying was going on for about 3 days.. Ive had them for 2 years with no problems.

That could be. How big was the one that died. Was it the bigger of the two or the smaller of the two? My female is considerably bigger than the male. Which is i think how it always is. Although i don't know why she would kill him now. No one is looking ill or anything like that?

no, everyone else is fine, and they were the same size I dont get it...
There have been occassions where the male has matured into a female and killed the former mate, although it is uncommon in my experience.
