Lost my Sebae... New LTA coming.

You think? I have been kicking around the idea of upgrading to MH when I bump up to a 90. Not sure though. I like T5's but the cost is an issue. However, with MH I will likely have Heat issues. Hmmm....

Heat could be a problem, but halides may be the best, or a good set of t5's. Some say they are as good of light output as halides. Do some research, I really haven't read that much on them. Halides are definitly hot. You probably really need more light, but the pic looks good.

What filtration are you using?

I have an Emperor 400 HOB filter for a bit of mechanical filtration. Using about 60 pounds of LR. I run a Remora skimmer HOB. I just ordered a pump (mag 7) in order to add the overflow that has been waiting for MONTHS to be added. Woohoo....

Can I ask your opinion. I finally looked at your pics. Nice tank. Is that Tonga branch in there? Nice...

Question: I am now chosing between a 90 and 75 gallon AGA with internal overflow. I am not sure I need the extra heighth the 90 gives. What is your opinion between the 75 and the 90? Since you have a 75, I assume you would be a good person to ask.

I want to have mostly LPS and softies. Maybe a few low light SPS. I will have sand in there. I just like sand for some reason. Thanks.

Monkey if you are referring to the pics in my gallery that is of my 100 gallon 5ft tank and yes it was tonga branch, and I love it. I ended up giving it to my girlfriends mom to get started, but will soon be getting it back. Now I have a 75 setup and like it ok, but would like bigger.

If I was you and you are already in a 58 I would go as big as you can. I think if you could find a 5ft 100g you would be in good shape. It wouldn't have the height of the 90 and would be a foot longer, but by all means if you can get a 90 over a 75 get the 90g imo. I really like the view of a 90. It may take a little more light though. Also in a 90 with 5-6" of sand you will take alot of the height out. Zoos on bottom, lps midway, and sps up top...

Thanks for the input kpk. I think the 90 wins hands down. I considered the 150 first but could not convince my wife to reconfigure the room. Then the 5 foot and that would fit; however, I would have no space along the entire wall for ballasts or buckets etc... I think the 90 wins it hands down. Going with an AGA with megaflow I think. I looked into both the Oceanic, which I now have and the AGA. I can save a bit by going AGA. I will post when I get that beast going. :)

Good Choice! If you don't have room go with the 90. I need all kinds of room for my "crap" setting around the tank. Good Luck and keep us posted.
