Lost or losing all my SPS - still not sure why.

I had the same kind of tissue loss on 3 wild caught acros in my tank, tried an iodine dip, did nothing. About a week later I tried a freshwater dip for 30 seconds. The bottom of the container was full of transparent/white flat slugs. It seemed like they were comming out at nite for a feast then crawling underneath during the time the lights were on. All three have recovered after dipping and removing any egg patches that I found during the dip/inspection

Thats weird because I am having the same issue on sps declining slowly in patches and just the other night found a small white slug crawling on an acros dead skeleton.

Could be a very likely possibility?

Lobster, have you tried a UV sterilizer by chance? Hell at this point anything is worth a shot.

That would also be a good idea!

Hey Lobster, you and I have VERY similar setups. I am having a similar problem with 2 of my SPS loosing tissue and worry that it may spread to all of my SPS.

I've got this CRAPPY red algae (can't remember the name) so that may be a factor.

This thread has been super helpful though and I'll keep you posted. UV or ozone may be helpful it this situation if it were bacterial.

I remember watching Kip's tank crash in a similar matter. Even thought it wasn't mine it was so painful to watch. His tank was beautiful. Seems it completely pushed him out of the hobby.
