Lost razor

Hi all I was trimming xenia and somehow cant find my razor whtas gonna happend if its in the tank?
what would be the symptoms?

I just don't want to take everything apart cause it may not be there

Not sure if this is a safe thing to do, but personally, I'd zip tie a magnet to a dowel rod and probe around the area that you think you dropped it in. Maybe you could use a mag-float as the "magnet". Just a thought

cool thats actually a good idea I just spent 45 min with a flash light in front of my tank

Mag float. Get a good grip and lower it down near the rocks where you think it might be. Sometimes you can even feel it react to the metal.

Worst that will happen is it will rust. I don't believe the iron that results will have any noticable effect on a 75gal tank.

I just came to a part in Bob Fenner's "Conscientous Marine Aquarist" book, and it addressed the problem of having any sort of metal in the aquarium. And according to what he said, it sounds like you should.... FIND THE RAZOR ASAP!
