Low alk help

My system is a 90 G tank with a 20G sump. My turaki bleached and purple slimer frag is slowly bleaching from the tip.

I tested my water with Salifert kit that came back with 0 on Po4,nitrate,nitrite, calcium @420ppm. Alk @5.2dkh

I suspect low alk is what did my frags in. Right now I,m mixing a gallon of ro water with 7 tsp of Baking soda according to the reef calculator. It's currently dripping via gravity to my sump.

Am I doing it the right way?

Increasing 1.4 dkh of alk is the recommended maximum per 24hrs using soda ash (recipe #1) because PH goes too high.

If you use sodium bicarbonate (recipe #2), you can raise it faster.

Natural sea water is 6.5-7.0 dkh so if you raise it 1.4 dkh, your good!
