LPS be harmed??

in my 75 i have 4 maxijet 1200's on a wavemaster pro... can i have to much flow? i know now in my 50 i only have one maxijet in the corner and i have little flow.. the lps are growing great but im worried they may not do well under higher flow.. is it possible or not?

They like their tentacles to toss, not to blow straight sideways.

I use 1 mag 9.5 with a sea swirl in a 52.

I use 3 1200s in a 120 with a wavemaker and the two returns ran by Mag 7s.

I think 4 1200s is to much flow in a 75, try 3

hmm well i put some xenia in there and it seems to be doing fine.. the way i have my rockwork set there seems to be lower flow spots and higher flow spots.. so i think i will just add my corals gradually and see what happens!! thanks anyway

What kind of LPS?

As Sk8r said, they don't like to blow sideways. LPS like torches and frogspawns should sway gently with alternating flow.

IME xenias prefer / tolerate much higher flow than LPS. Trying out the low flow spots makes sense, but in the long run I think you will find that 4 1200's are a bit much.

yeah..

the only lps i have currently that i would be switching over would be trumpet/candycane.. and i dont remember the other names for it.. i bet you know what im talking about though

there IS a picture in my gallery of it... its the bright green one with the two things.. its in 8 sections now that picture was about a month after i got it so its much bigger but you know what i mean..
