Hi guys Again me with questions...
Do you recommend any food(one kind maybe?) what i could use for corals what i have? Currently have Goniopora,Alveopora,Ultra Wilsoni,Blasstomusa and Lobo. I have bunch of other corals but these i really worry about.I have been doind mysis shrimp for a while..Some ate some did not!
Actually,Lobo does not want to touch anything and has some kind of split on body...Am i loosing him?
THX

ps I also do 2 times per week mix of Aquaforest Coral Food and Aquaforest AF Phyto Mix

Hmmm... lots of options over the years. I finally landed on a mix of Reef Nutrition R.O.E, NLS pellets and crushed fish food/flakes...AKA, my leftovers. I usually mix everything up and use a turkey baster and feed. I will also mix in phyto plankton from time to time as well as some ground up shrimp pellets. It's cheap and manageable. I can stretch the R.O.E out for a while. I have found that food like coral frenzy become expensive.

My LPS also like Reef Nutrition ROE. I have also used FM pellets. These days I feed my sps with Coral Frenzy or Reef Chili and while the particle size is smaller, my LPS exhibit a good response extending feeding tentacles.

I also use the R.O.E. (Reef Nutrition) a few times a week. Otherwise I feed a mix of mysis and brine (BioPure or San Francisco Bay Brand Sally's) and sometimes a mix I get from the LFS that has larger chunks (squid, oysters, etc).

My LPS mostly get the leftovers, but I do sometimes (maybe once a week) target feed them all. Though I have a cleaner shrimp who loves to steal from the corals about as fast as I can target feed them.

I've read here (and on BRS reviews) that some folks really like the BRS Reef Chili Coral Food, but I haven't tried it yet...

I don't necessarily feed my LPS on a regular basis, but when I do it's usually NLS pellets and/or live black worms. Being that overfeeding is a big problem in this hobby, foods that break down into very small pieces kind of scare me.

I feed my corals the same food I feed the fish, Larry's Reef Frenzy.
The biggest pieces go the the nems, slightly smaller goes to the scolys, duncans and fungia, smallest goes to the zoas and blastos. The juice goes to the lps.

Whilst many people adhere to this, some corals, like duncans, will take off growthwise if you feed.
And my fungia is another that appreciates being fed.

I agree. In my case I do not want high growth despite having large tanks.

Pellets. And krill?

Pellets. And krill?

I switch between invertebrate pellets and actually some chopped krill. Is feeding LPS krill any different than mysis or brine shrimp? Thx

I don't think so. One might be more nutritious than the other, but when it really boils down to it were just splitting hairs IMO.

Keep in mind none of the corals you listed need food so you may be in for the mother of all algae outbreaks if you're overfeeding (which if you're new is almost definitely the case), but I'm a fan of the FM LPS pellets and Ricordia / Zoa food.
