Poukie
That's the nicest LPS tank I have ever seen. I take my hat off to you. I am sure you have been asked this before...but if you have the time, might you be willing to share your perams and a bit about your tank husbandry?
Thank you !
As for my params and maintenance....You don't want to know. Honestly. You don't. You'll all be so shocked you won't believe me anyways.
ok ok ok...
My params...?? I don't know. I assume everything is in check, since things are looking good.
Maintenance...Watter changes, cleaning the skimmer cup, and trimming the algea in the sump when needed, and top ups with RO water.
I have what I like to call, "A wet thumb".
I don't have any fancy equipment. No reactors, no chillers, no dosing, no fancy filters....I truely believe that the less equipment you have, the less you need to worry about. The less equipment there is, the less chance you have of something malfunctioning and screwing things up.
Some people call it "The anomoly tank" because of what little I do with it. But you know what? One of the most beautiful tanks I've ever seen is sumpless and has NO skimmer, and no equipment. (It's a user on RC, just can't remember who)
So, who says you have to spend $$$ on the latest and most expensive equipment? I have proof that you can have a beautiful reef on a budget.
There, I admited it....
