LTA and t5

I am moving my LTA from me display into my sump. I will have a 4 bulb t5 fixture on it. The tank is about 14" deep, can you suggest a bulb combo for me. I have never used t5 so imput would be great.
Oh yeah the LTA is super health and I have had it for 6 years. It is just taking up way to much space in my 120 gallon sps tank. Thanks for your advise.

I suggest you go to the T-5 thread on the equipment forum and ask the Grimreefer. He is quick to respond to questions.

T5's should be fine for it, maybe one daylight and 3 actinics.
You should notice nem drawing in if too much.
Seems a shame to put it in sump though.

It is where I am going to keep the clown fish too. It will be 24" x 18" and 14" deep. It will also be a zoa tank.

Not yet it is curing in a garbage can right now. It is in my basement with my frag tank and I spend a lot of time down there. Don't think I am wasting time putting all of this in a stand where I will never see it. The clowns have been breeding for about 3 years now so they could use some alone time.

if you are using the T5 as lighting for frags and a nem in your sump i would use atleast 2 daylight bulbs. lower kelvin lighting is beter for growth on frags and it would benifit your nem as well.
i dont see any issue with your nem thriving with those lights.

I thought they would be strong enough with the right bulbs. I was more looking for the bulbs that others are running. It seems like there are a million different brands and color temps. I have a lot of experience with halides and vho but I don't know squat about t5.

Depends on what your going for on the frags, If its dcolor or growth. The nem will accept pretty much and comobo of lighting you have, it will just take time for it to adjust and you may have to acclimate it to the new lighting. But for a good color combo I like 1-10k 2-460mn 1 figi pink.

It isn't a frag tank. It will be for my personal collection of zoos ricordias and the LTA.

well then just minus the pink figi and add another daylight and you will be fine, it all really depends on what your going for as far as looks. more blue or natural. It also depends on the height of the fixture away from the surface of the water. You will ahve to play around with everything till you get it right. but if the fixture is close to the surface I would say 1-10k -2 460nm and 1-420 nm

If you want a more white color you could swap out something for a GE 6500 daylight bulb.
