LTA looks like its spliting?

My LTA has been doing just fine, then when i got home last night it looks like it split in half. It is not all the way split yet though.
Is there anything i should do for it, to help it heal? Right now i have my power heads off to keep it from blowing around the tank. Any help would be great.

LTA's (( M. doreensis )) don't naturally split, and have yet to hear/see of one splitting in a tank, let alone surviving it.

Like "bues0022" asked, a picture would be great. I have seen several BTAs (( E. Quadricolors )) that could be confused for an LTA.

Ill snap a picture when i get home. Its deffinatly a LTA, but i was hoping it was just spliting, lol. It was looking so healthy yesterday, fully extended, and eating normally. No signes of death.

Here is a picture from a few weeks ago.

As several mentioned, LTA's do not split like BTA's. Also, until you are able to get a better picture of exactly what you are seeing, making any kind of diagnosis about what's happening is mere conjecture.
