LTA question

Your responses are going to be all over the map so you have to sift through it and figure out whats best for your situation.

That being said, I have a beautiful 12 inch LTA in a 65H with a pair of mature GSMs and I feed the fish every other day with Thera A+ pellets and alternate PE Mysis and Bloodworms. They take care of the Anemone for the most part. I target feed the anemone 3 cubes of PE Mysis (Thawed of course) once a week on Saturday with a turkey baseter and usually do my water change/filter sock change/skimmer cleaning on Sunday.

Tank parameters are spot on and both fish and anemone are happy and healthy.

Some will tell you to feed whole table shrimp or silversides but in my experience they are not fully consumed (even when cut up unless you completely obliterate them and then whats the difference). Already keep the PE Mysis on hand for the fish so its an easy choice for me.

i tried silversides and krill both the lta didnt grab on to either and the other fishes ended up snatching it and eating it i do feed my tank mysis from time to time so i guess ill just stick to turkey blaster for now

I feed my fish first and then while they are in feeding frenzy mode I feed the LTA. By the time they have eaten all the free floating food, the LTA has closed so they can't get his food.

How long have you had the LTA?
What are your water parameters -- with numbers
What lights do you have?
What size tank? (( how long has it been set up ))

Even though I hate using silversides, a healthy anemone should grab onto it right away -- or any food for that matter -- if it isn't something is off.

I no long have any LTAs (( just 4 S. haddonis now )), I would feed them about once a month -- frozen/thawed krill.
