LTA question

Silly LTA question, but one non the less. Do I need to physically put LTA in the sand or will she bury her foot by herself? I put her on a rock slose to sand bed she moved down to the bed but isnt really attached to anything, should I be concerned?

It would not hurt to make a small depression in the sand bed and then lightly set the anemone into it. Don't cover it or anything, just allow it to excavate on its own. How long has this been?

Mine was originally attached to a rock, but eventually moved down and is deeply rooted in the sand.
It may move a little until it's happy with the light and flow.
I would leave it alone and let it do it's thing.
Just watch it and make sure all pumps are screened or covered so it doesn't get sucked in.

it says you have 192w of pc over a 65g, i really don't think an lta will survive with that lighting.

I actually am runnin 192 watt pc with 50 watts NO till the 15th of this monthafter which I am getting 8 36 watt t-5's....do you think that will be enough?

Hate putting it this way but since it was a gift from a tank that was going to be scapped I just need him to stay alive till the end of this month by which time he should be fully acclimated to new lights

My LTA was under 192 PC's for 4 years before I knew better.
It's always looked healthy(older pics in my gallery are PC's and LTA looks very healthy)
However after learning more here I upgraded to T-5 MH combo and my nems grew faster(almost too fast) and do have nicer color.
Make sure to give it a silverside or two a week.
And T-5's should be good for long term

I had my rescued LTA under NO lights for about six months before I was able to upgrade to T-5's. It grew from 3 inches to almost 8 inches but I fed it a small silverside every other day. It is looking better now that it is under the four 54W T-5's.
