Glad you asked, I had bought a complete Luminarc pendant that was dropped shipped from Vue Technologies recently. It came packaged box in box, but the socket and mounting hardware were lightly wrapped with shrink wrapping, and the sharp edges scratched the outer shell pretty good. The reflector part was OK, kind of flimsy, but the outer shell was really pretty awful. It looked very cheaply made, screws were crooked and not all the way in, a really bad job and very amateurish. I returned it for a full refund, and promptly ordered a Lumen Max from
www.premiumaquatics.com. Now this is how a pendant reflector should be made and sold! The boxing was excellent, box in box, plenty of bubble wrap and the light was in a well packaged box with separate cardboard sections where the loose hardware, eye bolts, were placed. The outer shell was thicker and made professionally, the reflector was beautifully finished, it even comes with the wire to connect to the ballast, the Luminarc does not. All in all in was like comparing a product a hobbyist made with a professionally done piece, the Lumen Max blows away the Luminarc comparing pendant to pendant. Yes the Lumen Max is about $20 more, but you are getting about $100 more in quality, plus you get the lamp cord, which is $15 more anyway. Before you buy, do yourself a favor and compare the two, you'll be very glad you did.
