Lunar Simulator - which outlet should be plugged

I just got my Lunar Simulator, I plugged it to outlet 4 (as per everybody's advice), it keeps coming on for 15 secs and then off for 2 min. it also flashes once a while (with the click sound of the switch). I am new to apex and just learning, so please let me know if that's normal or not.

I did add it to the module list and made sure it has a unique address. I left programming at default since that's what i want. I am not sure if that behavior is normal!!!

Thanks in advance
Issa

I suspect that default sample program is the problem.

Go to outlet setup, select the right outlet, change the control type to Advanced, and you'll see any the existing programming.

BTW... you don't need to plug the LS into an EB8. It's fine being plugged into a normal outlet or power strip. The controller will shut off the LS output as needed per the program you assign. If you have the EB8 outlet to spare, then great.

+1 on Russ's suggestion. I don't know who told you that outlet #4 is where you need to plug those in but you're wasting an outlet on the EB8 if you do. They're designed not to need the EB8 for power - plain ole wall outlet will work just fine.

Thanks a lot RussM and Aquamanic, I pugged it in a normal outlet, I can use the eb8 outlet.

in the advance, I have

If Moon 000/000 Then ON

which is the default. It seems to be ok now, it has been on for the past 5 mins. I still hear the clunking sound from outlet 4 on the EB8 ,I have nothing plugged to it, I am not sure why, is it normal?

Thanks again

I figured out the clunking sound. by default, outlet 4 on EB8 is assigned auto and on for the pump, when i switched it manual off, it turned off and stopped the clunking sound. I will hookup the pump tomorrow to it and see how that's go.

Thanks again

You do not have to use the default mode and programming. You can program any outlet to do what you want. The defaults are there only as examples.
