Hop - Thanks. Progress...well a mock up maybe

jnarowe - I think I might just throw in some spa flex where possible...heck might just keep it all hard pipe too....not sure. Like you said w/ all my tight angles and stuff I'll need 45 for sure and not sure if ordering the spa flex and paying quite a bit more is worth it??

melev - What do you suggest for supports? How do the rest of the guys get away w/ all the plumbing out the back?? I figured that the hard pipe would hold it up nice and firm so that I don't have any issues w/ the pipes weight. Wonder what solution that I can use for that??

fade2black - Thanks for the advice man.

If you find some plumbing feels heavy and is tugging downward on the bulkhead, it may be necessary to support it.

Recently, at the office tank (Dudester) they had to remove the closed loop pump for servicing. The weight of the plumbing had been supported by the pump, but with it out of the way, the bulkheads started to lean and the tank began to leak. Fortunately, they caught it early enough before it was a disaster.

I used about 40 brackets throughout my build lunch to support the plumbing, although I doubt you will have over a 100' of pvc like I do:D

But keep in mind the weight of the water in the pipe and the amount of stress on a joint as the pvc extends from that joint/union/fitting. Definately one place to over engineer IMO:D

Hmm since it is not close to any place that I can screw a bracket on the stand I'm gonna have to do some thinking on this one unless someone already has done it. If you have post a pic. I can move the pump if that makes it more convenient also

Hop might be a good idea to throw a pic of your plumbing up here just for the heck of it

Lunch: I think it's kind of apples to oranges in this case since the location of my wetroom, but I'll try to put a couple construction pics up... I never really took much in the way of the plumbing:D

You know I think that is about all the plumbing shots I have and those were during construction. Maybe I'll do a plumbing walk-trough one of these days, but I told myself no camera today:D

They look good too, although I haven't bought from them yet. What I like about SAVKO is that he is willing to get you whatever you need, regardless of whether it's on his site list or not. He has special ordered in a variety of stuff for me.

I'll call him as I remember you saying that he doesn't list everything on his site. Would like to do some Sched 40 sweeps but I think they are like 4bucks a pop :( I could use a sched 40 wye. Otherwise I'm going to do a tee w/ a 45 off of it

Doesn't matter what they cost...only matters how you feel about your work once it is all glued up. :)

True but I don't make much. Hell only reason I can do this is help from great RC people, buying a tank on a great deal, and having 90% of the equipment from my 58gal work for this tank.

I'm off to lowes tonight to take back all th drain pvc and get Sched 40 :D

I just checked around town today and no one has a Sched 40 (pressure rated is what the plumbing stores called it) Wye fitting. I'll have to order that from Savko along w/ about 25ft of Spa flex possibly.

jnarowe - Seem you know a ton about Spa Flex have you noticed is the stuff that Lowes sells the correct product? It is pretty darn rigid and it very ribbed like your pic of the correct product.

Thanks

Most of what I have seen at Lowe's is the right stuff, but today i noticed the 1" looked like it might be that weird blend. They also charge nearly double IIRC more than SAVKO. Why not get the gray or black from flexpvc.com? That's pretty damn cool stuff! :)

I got a crazy itch at about 9:30pm and decided to rip out some closets :smokin:

My whole room concept might have changed and I might have lost some room as it opens up the basement and the potential living room that we are making down there. Room might be 39"x79" instead of 39"x112" (or something like that). Will still work out ok. Basically just need a room to hide the plumbing and make it look fancy

Off to work at 6:15am on a Sat :(

Some progress at last. Nice to see it was a family project.

Got any pictures of the dog carrying a piece of sheetrock to the rubble pile? ;)
