I got two new clams about a week a go they are about 4" long not the best colors but that is all they have around here. I will get some pictures soon.

clam from the side

a terrible pic of the clam from the top. it sits right in th emiddle under my halides and i don't have a great way of getting a pic. i used a flat piece of acrylic to set on the water and break the surface but that didnt' work as the bulbs reflected on the acrylic. i need to make one of melevs camera boxes. hope i can get to that today!!

and finally a terrible pic of the yellow tang. he's in constant motion and i can't get a good pic of him. i need to figure out how to take good action pictures of fish (never gotten that down). he is swimming calmly...doesn't seem to pace. really almost like he doesn't need more room...i'm sure he does or will be he is calm and looks happy. now just need to fatten him up a little

Zoom - these your 1st two clams?? or just two new ones? please post some pics i LOVE clams this one has brought back my passion for them. i want to go to the LFS today and get the other one i saw. it had a stripe of cream through the mantle....very different and neat IMO.

melev - your tank has been up as long as i've been married :lol: guess maybe you should sent it to me as a gift??? was talking to a buddy yesterday w/ a nice brand new cube tank and i was hinting at the wife that is what i wanted. he piped up that he thought acrylic was the 2nd anniversary gift so a new tank would fit perfect :lol: i thought that was funny.

Just new ones. My other clams die when my Anemone spawn in my tank a year a go.
I got two new clams but i can only take a picture of one for now the other took a dive in the back of the rocks i just got it out so is not to happy.:lol:

just made a Melev's top down acrylic box today. i'm not very good w/ acrylic so it doesn't look super great but it works. so here are a few pics. didn't take much time to mess w/ settings...just snapped some pics. i'll get better ones in the future

Hey how the clams doing?
I got one more clam two day after i put the first two in the tank.
Sad to said i think i have the PM disease on my clams after i put the last clam in my tank.

Still one of my favorites and they will eat bryopsis. get a juve fiji fox face so they dont bore you with that yellow tang yellow.......

zoom - sorry to hear man did the clam show any symptoms before you put it in?? i hope i don't get that stuff (PM) again. mine never died because of it in my tank. they thrived for quite a long while

nuclearreefs - i really like foxfaces i loved the one i had when i first set up the 58gal. but they get big fast and eat and poop alot like Travis stated
