Lyretail Anthias

I ordered three Lyretail Anthias from one of my favorite online vendors about three months ago and today I noticed that one of anthias are changing colors and possibly becoming a male.

yup red tips on the fins and dorsal getting bigger with more color. Male Lyres re gorgeous.

So I have a male and 3 female Lyretails. One of the females turns psycho and attacks the male injuring his eye causing a 'pop eye'. So while the male has been hiding in the rocks for 10 days while his eye heals, pyscho female has almost completed the transition to a male. Now I'll have two males that will likely fight to the death of one.

Most like from what I have read, there can only be one male in a tank up to eight females anthias. You probably will need to take the psycho or the wounded anthia out.

Yes you are right. I've been trying to catch the injured male but it's challenging in a 225g with lots of rock and coral.
