Macna

Anyone score any great SPS at MACNA? I am heading over on Sunday and want to know which booths are sporting some great SPS.

Got a tiera del fuego from Jason fox. Reef raft has some nice things but pricy. No special sps at cherry corals. If you want some cheap good stuf there is a guy on the far east end in the middle row with good prices. Not a huge selection, pink lemonade, sunset monti, bonsai etc, The best that he has is somewhere over the rainbow milli though.

pics pics please . man I have to go to one of these Macna deals and take my canon 5d3 with macro and wide angle to get some nice shots can anyone tell me if that is allowed?

The only thing that truly annoys the vendors about photographers is how some will block the frag tanks for several minutes to line up the 'perfect shot' then, of course, walk away and not purchase anything. There is so much to see on the floor that potential customers are not going to wait around for you to get your picture, so they will leave too...also without buying anything. If you're going to shoot with a DSLR and/or pro equipment, try to get there early before the booths get too crowded or schedule an appointment ahead of time with the vendor.

One of the prettier albros (?) I found. This one was at Route 66.

Frag Junky was one of the most popular booths. Lots of SPS and Swag.

I could be wrong but it looked to me that the SPS-to-LPS-to-Softie/Fish ratio this year was about 20/50/30. SPS booths seemed fairly crowded though; just not too much new under the sun.

I didn't see anything that I would actually consider new or interesting. In fact probably the nicest looking SPS I saw at the show was a good ole' crayola plana.

Best deals of the year are made on Teardown Day at Macna. Just scope out the most exhausted vendor and you could practically keep his car if you drive him back home in it. :D

I was at the Reef Raft store a couple of weeks ago. I'd agree that they have some sweet corals but pricy. Anyone know why it looks like the guy who runs the store is getting arrested? :lol2:

Apparently Fish and Wildlife gave out tickets for some reason but I don't know the details.
