Macro ID

Hello,
I wanted to get an id on this macro algae that I picked up for my DIY refugium. It was labeled at the LFS as red algea. Is this a good choice of algae as far as exporting unwanted chemicals in my tank? Does it require any special care? I have it lighted 24-7, is this too much?

Looks like gracilaria. From what I understand it grows fairly quickly and is an excellent food source for tangs
