Well, I decided to try a second Macropharyngodon chaoti wrasse. I know this would seem to be pressing my luck, but I just added a male to go along with my female. My female has been thriving for six months and I hope to have a mated pair. The male was active in the well packed bag, and ate PE mysis twice after acclimation. It never went into the sand. It is obviously WAY too early to tell, but I am optimistic; if it survives a month I will be much more optimistic. This pair is in a 220 gallon tank which is very mature with a 40 gallon refugium. I feed a minimum of 2-3 times daily.

I will report back as time passes.

:inlove:

As Kevin said from LA. IMO these fish are delicate shippers with high metabolism which make them difficult to keep. Best of luck and pictures are always appreciated Steve!!!

Thanks Tim. I am the world's worst aquarium photographer so I would not hold my breath on pictures.

Haha, I don't think I've ever seen pictures from you on here, which is too bad because it sounds like you have some amazing tanks. You need to find someone in the area willing to come over and take your pics and post them for us!

Well, you have rarely seen aquarium photos of mine. However, if you are curious about my photography, try http://www.underwaterphotos.com

Pair of Black and white ocies, 1 lubbocks, Yellow tang(this is probably the stopper huh?),
and a pair of Bangais....oh and the Female Meleagris

Wishing you the best of luck Steve, like I've said before, if anyone can keep them, it's you.
Your ocean photography is a peice of art, I cant beleive your tank shots are that bad. You are just too modest.

You really think so? They are very passive and don't leave the 15" RBTA Ever.

I would have been willing to get rid of my YT but not my clown buddies I've had them for 4 years since they were 3/4"

You asked for my opinion. First of all these are very sensitive fish and are easily intimidated and sexually differentiated clowns can be aggressive. With this particular fish, you want to do EVERYTHING to raise your probabilities, which are already very, very low.

Day Two

Day Two

Well my male's biological clock is set to rise at 8:30 AM. He was out and about and eating PE mysis just like the female who gets up about an hour earlier. Still looking good.
