Look at this shot. Those spikes that come out from within the coral during feedings are actually attached to the section of tissue each bubble is upon. For some reason I figured they came out of the core.

I think that your first pic of the bubble coral is by far the best.

I have to tell you though, the rest seem just the tiniest touch blurry.

Thats a really nice looking bubble, I've never seen that color combo before. How big is the colony?..........Great photos by the way..

It is around 3 to 4" wide. When I bought it, I thought it looked like a giant ricordia. Here's a picture from last November.

Tough crowd, lol. Awesome pictures Marc. I love that teal green color (1st & 2nd shots)

I have a big relative of your bubble! I always joked about it not being able to decide if it was a pink bubble or a green bubble. Here's a couple of shots that also show the "bubble tails". Cool stuff!!

aztbs - great shots! What size are those bubbles? The one I have they are maybe 1/4" to 3/8" in diameter.

ataylo13 - Those are two different colored Pocillopora.

Thanks! The bubbles stretch out really big and poofy. Easily some bubbles are 1/2 - 5/8 inches. It is a lot more colorful when the bubbles are not stretched out so far, I love the way yours looks. Maybe it is flow.

Everything stretches to enormous puffed up sizes in my tank, check out the crazy bubbles on this yuma!!
